Summary:  This training will guide you through the process needed to configure Tax Cloud which you should have purchased and added as an Add on prior to this training.  

Log into WorldVu Dashboard

Click on System > Configuration

Configuring Tax Cloud

  1. Click on TaxCloud Configuration in the left hand menu. Put in these settings:
    Enabled – “Yes”
    Logging Enabled – “No”
    Debug Mode – “No”
    Api ID – Client Tax id from Tax Cloud
    Api Key – Client Key from Tax Cloud
    USPS – USPS Api id from United States Postal Service. (see instructions below)
    Guest Customer ID – “-1”
    Default TIC – “00000”
    Default Shipping TIC – “11010”
    Origin Info – Location of business
  2. Go to the tax menu
    On Tax class for shipping – select shipping
  3. Go to Sales -> Tax -> Manage Tax Rules, Delete all rules
  4. Go to Sales -> Tax -> Manage Tax Rates, Delete all rates
  5. Add new tax rate –
    tax identifier – TaxCloud
    Country – United States
    State – *
    Zip/Post is Range – No
    Zip/Post Code – *
    Rate Percent – 1.0
  6. Go back to tax rules and add these two rules
    Name: TaxCloudShipping
    Customer Tax Class : Retail Customer
    Product Tax Clas: Taxable Goods
    Tax Rate: TaxCloud
    Priority: 0
    Sort Order 0Name: TaxCloudProducts
    Customer Tax Class : Retail Customer
    Product Tax Clas: Shipping
    Tax Rate: TaxCloud
    Priority: 0
    Sort Order 0
  7. All done
