Step 2: Identifying Translatable Words and Strings
- Click on System Tab > Bulk Translations > Scan for Translatable Strings
- Having previously identified the words or strings of words you would like to change within the Store or Team Office, you are now ready to translate.
- Click “Scan”.
- Verify the “Scan” is complete.
Note: The words and strings of words you will be able to translate can only originate from the Magento Store (Your Company Store accessed by “Shop” on your website) and the Team Office area.
Caution: You may wish to make multiple changes at once however as the number of changes increase it can be difficult to track which changes you just made and to know where you made them.

Step 3: Creating Translations
- Go to “Staged Translations” by either clicking on the “Staged Translations” link located in the imported complete box if you just ran a “Scan”or by clicking System Tab > Bulk Translation > Staged Translations
- Search the word or string of words you wish to translate into the “Original String” box.
- Click on “Search”.
- You will have one or more choices that may match the string you wish to translate. Caution: Many strings may look identical and be located in different areas. Pay close attention to details of what you are changing and where it might be located. Some string changes may affect several website/Team Office areas with the one change. If the changes are not what you want you can change them back and seek alternative methods to update the changes you wish to make.
- Make the change you wish to the word or string of words by putting your desired change into the “Translated String” box. Note: You do not need to save. The change you type into the “Translated String” box will be automatic.

Step 4: Completing the Translation
To view the change(s) immediately:
- Click on System Tab > Cache Management
- Click on “Flush Magento Cache”.
- Verify the change(s) occurred as expected within the Store/Team Office.

Note: You may translate multiple strings at once by exporting a file and then importing it back into the database. Be Aware: This process must be done carefully only making changes in the correct boxes otherwise the import can corrupt the displays in the Store/Team Office.
- The place to export a file for multiple translations was noted in the Step 3 screenshot.
- We caution against doing multiple translations using this method of exporting and importing a file to avoid mistakes that can cause Store/Team Office display problems.
